Isn’t Paris Wonderful?
I just got back from Paris. City of the fabulous cathedrals, beautiful street art and mouth-watering pastries. It’s also the city of Disneyland Paris. It has to be said that what Disney does, they do well. Their story and film-based rides are entertaining and fun, their characters are delightful, their light show is astonishing (and their prices are eye-watering!). You may be aware that I teach a 5 step system to sales and selling. It looks like this:
- Prospect
- Contact
- Invite
- Offer
- Ask
The two steps that make those who don’t like selling anxious, are the contacting and asking. This is because contacting means speaking to someone that you haven’t necessarily spoken to before, and asking means asking for the business. (more…)

This week I was fortunate enough to be invited to the BizMums meeting at Winsford in Cheshire. For those of you who don’t know, BizMums is a networking organisation for Mums with little kids. Networking is essential as a small business owner, but what do you do with the children when you network? I have been a mum of pre-school children and I can tell you that on the precious few hours that you have them in childcare, you don’t want to be networking, you need to be working. (more…)

1. Sales Figures? What Sales Figures?
If I ask you what you’ve sold so far this month, could you tell me? Keeping track of what you sell is very important. You need to know those sales numbers lady! If you want to be a businesswoman, you have to behave like one and keeping tabs on what you’re selling is a great place to start.
